Attractive women with Diplomacy at last! Men aren’t too bad either, all models get a face update. Matheld may have dark roots. Can’t be helped. She bleaches her hair with who-knows-what.

The biggest misconception anybody can make is to see magic armor and magic weapons and immediately assume they are overpowered. The Flaming Soul Sword, Yumi Bow and Yumi Arrows have a story behind them, and while the stats will raise eyebrows, regular armors and ‘normal’ weapons have been adjusted accordingly. You’re not going to one shot everyone. Looters, yes. Naturally. Sea Raiders with better gear, maybe on a well placed head shot.

The Lady Battle Armor and Lady Destroyer Armor is introduced. Calradia isn’t friendly to women, and lady sorcerers of the old world knew this all too well. They enchanted armor and weapons, trying to remove many vile Lords from their thrones.

They failed.

Nobody remembers precise details from those ancient magic wars, but many relics are still hanging around, being sold in one place or another. It is rumored that the armor and weapons are cursed, designed to give any user the desire to rule the entire world. If you die while using any of them, your soul feeds the magic while you silently suffer for eternity. Are the rumors true? Nobody knows, but you’ve been warned.

The kings of old designed stronger armors and sharper weapons to combat the menace of magic. Most weapons will have their abilities enhanced for that very reason. Not as powerful as magic, but the realm of medieval science didn’t do too badly in that regard.

Horses are more typical to real life animals. Some real horse knowledge is worth sharing here. A normal, regular untrained horse can sprint and gallop between 30 to 35 miles per hour. The known real life world record is a well-trained horse getting its sprint up to 55 miles per hour.

Ever been hit by a vehicle going 30 to 55 miles per hour? No? If you have and are alive to read this, now you know why unarmored horses do significant impact damage, and armored speed trained horses can be downright deadly. This is because sharp weapons do what sharp weapons do best. They kill people. Using your horse to bludgeon a foot soldier will knock most out and only kill a handful. Like in real life, a line of charging horses from companions and mercenaries alike will knock down foot soldiers like a scythe does to wheat. Using a club or mace also works for one on one capture events, but where is the fun in doing that all day? Is that line of enemy horses going to ramble you over while on foot? I hope you have good armor!

Arena horses are softer, less-muscled slow things that are not as adept at smashing through lines of foot soldiers.

Now its time for a list of important changes.

Horses no longer have a difficulty requirement. The year is 1257. They know about horses, it was a measure of basic survival in that time period. They don’t need lessons in riding anymore than we need lessons in how to turn on the TV.

Herald type armors are custom made to fit the Companion to show off their leader’s emblem. The strength requirements have been removed for that armor type. Your companions deserve to be well dressed in functional armor that should help reduce formal knock out naps during important battles.

Yumi Arrows are in. Designed to fire from a Yumi Bow during a siege or castle defense, they are excellent at destroying shields in 2 to 4 hits. Yumi arrows can fire from any bow, but their power only sees true results when combined with a Yumi Bow. Magic. Gotta love it, right?

Lady Destroyer Armor is infused with green protective magic for female companions. Its stylish, powerfully protective and her soul will be devoured if killed while wearing it, but hey, at least she dies looking great!

Lady Battle Armor is infused with a light-blue protective magic for female companions. It’s more than stylish and will get heads to turn if put on Ymira, who has signed a release form completely forgiving you if she dies and has her soul sucked down by the outfit to keep it looking good.

Flaming Soul Swords can be abundant or rare, depending on where you are and whom you’re going to buy from. Every game week that goes by, the Random Item Generator restocks merchants all over the realm. These flaming weapons can be used by anybody, which is the lure to abuse power. Plus, you can easily start camp fires with them. Or stab a chicken and cook it clean through in less time it takes you to read this section. You and your companions will look exceptionally awesome while fighting. Plus, it will be easy to mark your companions on the battlefield and know where they are at a glance. Dangerous and utility, who could want more?

Peasant and Merchant armors have been slightly improved. Those guys truly hate the idea of being put to a flaming sword by evil players and may protect themselves accordingly.

Faction and Experience rewards have been adjusted for better improvement. Tournaments are important to do, even the mundane village quests have been amplified. In other words, your efforts are rewarded properly from here on out.

Bad guys are slightly tougher and better armed. Fight them with under trained troops, you will suffer losses. They’re also still a little stupid. It’s not our fault they had hillbillies for teachers.

A medieval Japanese weapon set (which includes the Yumi bow and arrow) has been introduced. You’ll see them and can decide if you or your companions will look cool using them or not. They are a bit more available than the flaming soul swords and as such, make great place holders until you can find one.

In the Camp Overview section, you can rename your companions!

If you have a 50+ reputation with your wife, you can tell her to join your party and she will ride into battle with you. Just don't forget to buy her armor and weapons and teach her how to use them.

UPDATE: 11/02/2021 - As much as I love this game, I can no longer devote time to fixing the code on this mod. It's not about liking or disliking. In March of 2021 I suffered a stroke, then an infection that went septic and nearly killed me. Instead, it killed my kidneys and I'm now on dialysis three times a week, and it wears me out to the bone. So I must stop here and let this mod live as is. I will not remove it, but it will also no longer be updated or worked upon. Thank you everyone for giving this mod a try.
