It's finally here! Our latest major update titled: The Guns of Nuln.

This update hosts a wide range of changes, new mechanics, new playable territory and balance fixes.

Mechanics & Controls:

Being a Vampire:

• To be a Vampire you must choose the ‘Vampire Nobility' option during character creation as your final choice. The Vampire base mesh will be visible only once you have loaded into the game
• Vampires can learn new magic through the new Dark Magister NPC found in settlements.

Magic:

• To start with access to magic you must choose the Necromancer, Vampire Nobility or Bright Wizard option during character creation
• To gain access to Magic after starting as a non-magic user you must take the Magic Affinity Test - speak to a College Magister (amongst the notables) to take the test (Note: The test has a 25% chance of success - if you fail the test, you will not be able to access magic for the remainder of your playthrough without cheats)
• To access prayers you must choose the Warrior Priest Acolyte or you will not have access to prayers for the duration of your campaign.

Magic Progression:

• Allocating points to intelligence raises your maximum Winds of Magic (Mana) and rate of regeneration on the campaign map (Each point raises WoM by 10, and 0.5 regeneration per hour)
• There are four tiers of magic: Minor, Entry, Adept & Master. Players with access to magic always start at ‘Minor' Tier - This tier has generic non-specialised magic that is relatively weak and cheap to cast
• There are 5 Lores of magic you can specialise in: Fire, Light, Heavens, Dark, & Necromancy. Specialising will offer the ability to progress through the tiers of magic and provide access to stronger spells.
• There are two new types of magic-related NPCS: College Magisters & Dark Magisters. These Magisters can be found in settlements and sell spells, as well as allow for Lore specialisation & magic progression.
• Humans may specialise into a single Lore, whereas Vampires can specialise in up to two lores. All via the new Magister NPC's.

Magic in Battle:

• During battle pressing Q puts you into aiming mode, a reticule will appear and you will be able to target your spells. Aiming mode is accompanied by a visual animation on your character.
• Using the mouse wheel will switch between your spells (if you have learned multiple)
• New UI elements will appear on the bottom left of your screen, with an image representing your selected spell and a cooldown times
• Spells are reliant on the user's Winds of Magic (mana), this is fairly self-explanatory. It is regained over time on the campaign map.

Necromancy:

• To summon/recruit units through Necromancy you must choose the Vampiric Nobility or

Necromancer options during character creation. This will allow you to recruit undead units

from the new graveyard location within settlements as well as post-battle.

• Raising the dead in settlements has some risk, there is a chance of getting caught. This will lead to a small skirmish scene.

Engineering:

• Cannons & Black powder weapons can now be purchased by a new Master Engineer NPC found in Nuln
• You must have 50 Engineering before the Master Engineer will speak with you
• Every 50 levels in Engineering will allow you to buy and maintain one more cannon, up to a maximum of 5 cannons.
• To access the shop the player must also complete the Master Engineers Quest.

Installation Instructions:

Tor v0.2.0 - Guns of Nuln The mod is split into submodules, all of which can be found within the download folder from ModDB. Ensure your Bannerlord is on version 1.7.1.

If you need to upgrade/downgrade your Bannerlord to the correct version, do the following: Select Mount and Blade II via Steam, right click, “Properties” Ensure your Bannerlord is on the correct version/you are opted into 1.7.1 (if relevant) Download and extract the zip archive into your Bannerlord Modules folder just as you would with any other mod.

Please ensure you have Bannerlord Harmony installed as well. It is required. Nexusmods.com (Important) If you have a previous version of our mod installed, you must: Completely remove all old module folders Delete your shader cache from C:\ProgramData\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Shaders (delete both TerrainShaders and CoreShaders folders) Note: Please be aware that ProgramData is a folder hidden by Windows by default.

You have to adjust your Windows view settings to be able to see it When launching the game, use the following load order:

The Old Realms does not officially support any game changing mods other than Bannerlord Harmony (Which is required)
